I look like a Kennedy

Saturday, April 29, 2006

two parts of a whole

Along the shore I stood,
And listened to the break,
That did all it could,
The shore to give and take.

And how loud I thought,
The little water against the shore,
Says what it ought,
While silent stays the more.

This may be the only poem ever inspired by longshore drift.
