Dear Mr. Brewer,

We've got some bad news. This is a letter from two actors fresh out of college. But the good news is we're going to waste a little less of your time by combining our efforts into one glorious letter. Our names are Mike S. Horton Esq. and Hunter "Theodore" Maats and together we are... making references to Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure in what is potentially a very important letter.

Back to the point, we both attended the BHERC screening of Hustle & Flow on the Paramount lot. We both thought it was fantastic and since then have been chanting, "Whup that trick!" more than is healthy. It was particularly great hearing you talk about how your own experiences became the core of the script. We were both inspired by the way in which you created projects for yourself and we have both been trying to do very much the same thing. We are honing our craft, making shorts and doing whatever else we can to further our careers. So Mr. Brewer, here's the bottom line...

1) We loved your film.
2) We thought it was unfortunate that it was pigeonholed as a black film because beyond being a cultural slice of life it was a truly universal story full of humanity and truth.
3) We want to work.
4) We want to work with people like you.
5) We're SAG-less and we don't have any decent credits but we stand behind the fact that we're damn good actors.

We've included two 4x6s due to
a) Budgetary constraints
b) Assistants who throw away any unsolicited headshot-sized envelope.
