The thing that unites working actors is their
versatility. The thing that unites non-working actors
is their poverty. In order to show your versatility
you need many different headshots...well that's overly
simplistic but so's yo momma. The point is headshots
cost money and you need lots of looks so people know
you're professional. But I didn't want to spend a lot
of money so I just went to town with a sharpie. Then I
sent those looks to people I like with a series of
glorious cover letters.
